My favorite medium in art is drawing. Im not a fan of anything other thing we did in art class. Coloring, Painting, Oil pastels, etc. I like using those because if you mess up you get to start all over again. Pencil is my most strength in doing art I'm not a good drawer but a decent to get a passing grade.
These two pieces show my growth and how I growed into taking art seriously. My peppermint project wasn't that great. but, my sketches was looking better. when I first came to thia class I really didn't like drawing I wasn't a fan of drawing looking at my 1st one and my 2nd drawing of the year. I really approved my skills. I didn't know how to shade or do value or make the picture pop. The 2nd picture was the picture we did of close up objects. 1st couple of days I really didn't know how to draw. as time went by looking at other people art work I learned that taking your time and do your best is important.
This is my peppermint project , my least important or the piece I really don't like. The reason I don't like it its just that I'm not a fan of oil pastels. And it's really hard for me to get the shading colors out to make it looks really real. If I really could start this over again I really would. First, by using something else then oil pastel. like color pencils or paint or something
The jolly rancher project one of my successful projects. I put precision, time, effort, and process into this priceless art of work. I used the light strokes of the pink and the red to get that light red flavor into the candy, then use the white to show where the light was showing on it. Afterwards, I use the white for the highlights of the wrapper of the rancher. So much work had been put on this to make it my favorite , beautiful project that I made.
